Join a small, friendly team as an Accounts Administrator, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy accounts function. This is a varied, hands-on role, ideal for someone who is organised, accurate and confident managing a range of accounts and administrative duties. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, offering the chance to become a permanent part of the team.

Work hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm, with a 4pm finish on a Friday and an hour lunch Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour whilst temping through Midas Recruitment Onsite parking Casual dress Accounts Administrator Responsibilities: Undertake a range of day-to-day finance and general administration tasks Monitor customer accounts and proactively chase outstanding payments Allocate payments from bank statements to the relevant customer accounts Take and process customer card payments accurately and securely Carry out credit control activity to help minimise outstanding debt Use accounting software to process and record financial transactions Raise and issue sales invoices and customer statements Process and approve supplier invoices Complete bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies Handle incoming customer and account queries in a professional and helpful manner Scan, process and maintain delivery notes and other finance documentation Maintain accurate customer account records, ensuring all activity and communication is correctly logged Accounts Administrator Skills and Experience: Immediately available and happy to consider a temporary to permanent opportunity Previous office administration experience is essential, with confidence answering and making telephone calls Comfortable contacting customers to follow up and chase overdue payments Some basic accounts or bookkeeping knowledge would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for someone keen to develop in this area Good numerical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Confident and professional communicator, both internally and when dealing with customers Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new systems Organised, reliable and willing to get involved in a varied mix of accounts and general office administration
