Application and Service Technician (m/f/d) in North America

Your tasks

After comprehensive training of approximately six to ten months at our headquarters in Ortenburg, you will move to our US headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, as part of a multi-year assignment. There, you will support our service and application team in close cooperation with our colleagues from sales, application engineering, and support, and accompany customer projects from commissioning to long-term system optimization.

independent commissioning and maintenance of measuring and inspection systems on-site and remotely based on technical drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions

execution of installation and process qualifications as well as the use of software-based configuration and simulation tools

implementation of conversions as well as regular service and maintenance assignments to ensure the high measurement accuracy and reliability of the systems

fast and targeted fault analysis as well as repair of the systems

technical service and application support for our North American sales team as well as direct customer communication

documentation of activities, qualification reports, and system status according to internal standards

Your profile

completed technical training or studies in the field of mechatronics, automation technology, electrical engineering, measurement technology, or mechanical engineering (e.g., Bachelor or state-certified technician) or a comparable qualification

practical knowledge in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial measuring and inspection systems is an advantage

motivation to work in the USA for several years – ideally three to five years – or permanently, combined with regular willingness to travel throughout the US (travel share approx. 30%)

independent, structured way of working as well as strong team spirit and communication skills

English skills at C1 level as a working language; German skills from B2 level onwards is an advantage

Driver's license class B / international driver's license
