Senior Fullstack Developer - IT Contracting

The end client is a company from the building security industry. Industry: Technology & Telecoms Area: IT Development Scope of responsibilities The person in this position will be responsible for cloud deployments, backend and frontend development, adapting user experience (UX) in the web application, and maintaining the production environment for the OEM cloud and a web portal based on React, integrated with an IoT platform.

The scope of responsibilities includes taking over a provided base solution, deploying it to testing and production environments, adapting the user interface to market requirements, and ensuring the stable operation of the entire technology stack, including implementing changes in both code and infrastructure.

Cloud and operations (~40%)

Deploying and maintaining testing (staging) and production environments on AWS (containers, CI/CD, secrets management, Firebase).

Configuring and handling integrations with DCF, CPS, MSF/KMS, and CDP event workers.

Promoting releases to subsequent environments with the possibility of rolling back changes, and maintaining full environment separation.

Monitoring APIs, workers, certificates, handling incidents, and implementing security patches.

Creating and updating operational procedures (runbooks) and preparing monthly operational reports.

Backend development and integrations (~35%)

Implementing and maintaining changes in APIs based on Node.js and Express (bug fixes, security issues, small functionalities, adapting API contracts).

Adapting integrations to changes in IoT services or used SDKs.

Resolving issues blocking the production environment, including authorization/JWT, event logging, CI processes, and managing configuration outside of code.

Working with PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3 used in the solution; code review and taking responsibility for its maintenance after project handover.

Frontend / UX (~25%)

Adapting the SPA application based on React and Vite (branding, English language content, themes, and configuration).

Matching menus and screens to the platform's user role specifications (implemented in stages according to product priorities).

Enforcing UX security principles (e.g., no possibility of remote device control via the web application where prohibited).

Fixing bugs reported during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and performing smoke tests before deployments.

Requirements

Experience with Node.js / Express and React SPA applications (Vite or similar solutions).

Knowledge of AWS, containers, CI/CD processes (e.g., GitHub Actions), secrets management, and environment configuration.

Knowledge of PostgreSQL and practical experience with Redis and object storage.

Experience in deploying changes directly to production code (not just infrastructure maintenance).

Ability to respond to production incidents.

Good knowledge of English in written communication.

Experience collaborating with external vendors and working on shared Git repositories.
