Your tasks
As a Regional Transport Manager you will oversee transport activity, driving improvements in overall performance (cost and service). Outside of daily activity, there is a focus of team development, succession planning, and positive performance management.
Description As a Regional Transport Manager you will,
- Oversee regional transport operations from the Leeds location controlling cost, service, and compliance
- Review daily transport activity and team performance to allocate resources to meet operational needs
- Review operational information to identify practical improvements in transport planning.
- Work with relevant colleagues and customers to identify cost and service improvements
- Drive a CI culture, building a high performing team
Requirements
A successful Regional Transport Manager in this environment should have:
- Experience managing regional transport operations of minimum 100 units +
- Track record of driving cost and service metrics through improvements in planning, resource allocation, and team development
- Proven leadership skills in developing a high performance culture
- Competent in a customer facing role
- Ability to balance both "hands on" and strategic leadership styles
