As an AP Team Leader Accountant your responsibilities are:

• Supervise and manage the accounts payable team to ensure smooth operations.
• Mentoring and training Junior Accountants to support their professional development and strengthen their technical accounting skills.
• Oversee invoice processing and payment approvals in compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Prepare and review reports related to accounts payable performance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
• Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable function.

A successful AP Team Leader Accountant should have:

• Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in accounts payable or similar financial operations roles.
• Strong organisational and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of French and English.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
• Problem-solving abilities to address payment or process issues effectively.
• Valid EU work permit.
• Residence in Liege.
