The Senior Manager - IFRS 9 Accounting & Controls role in the financial services industry focuses on overseeing accounting and control processes related to IFRS 9 compliance. Client Details One of largest global banking and financial services organisations, with a network covering 50 countries. Description Deliver ongoing IFRS 9 reporting for the UK balance sheet, including review/challenge of reporting solutions and supporting a streamlined reporting process Perform monthly expected credit loss pack reviews: reasonableness checks and variance analysis Provide technical review of key outputs (IFRS & FINREP credit disclosures, Encumbrance, PRA108) and perform quarterly supplementary reporting reviews Run data quality and remediation activities: validate impairment outputs, analyse complex datasets, support automation projects and data-quality fixes Own and operate controls (SOX) and help embed/improve the IFRS 9 reporting control framework.

Profile Demonstrable experience working within a UK bank / large financial services / IFRS reporting environment Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA Strong IFRS 9 experience Regulatory and financial reporting experience, including experience interpreting requirements such as FINREP and PRA returns SOX controls Advanced analytical and data remediation experience Experience of building, influencing, and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders
