Your tasks
As an Interim Finance Director, you will oversee the day-to-day financial direction and keep key finance activity on track during a temporary assignment. You will provide clear financial oversight that helps the business make informed decisions and maintain smooth operation.
Description
- Oversee the finance function to ensure accurate, timely financial information is available for business decisions.
- Provide financial direction to support the day-to-day running of the organisation.
- Review financial performance and highlight key issues, trends and priorities to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring information is clear and reliable.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activity to support effective financial planning.
- Work with senior stakeholders to provide practical financial insight for operational decisions.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure finance processes remain effective throughout the assignment.
- Provide continuity within Accounting & Finance during the temporary Interim Finance Director assignment.
Requirements
A successful Interim Finance Director should have
- Strong experience leading a finance function and delivering reliable financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- The ability to review financial performance and turn findings into clear, practical insight.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders on financial matters.
- A sound understanding of financial controls and finance processes.
- The ability to manage priorities effectively within a temporary assignment.
