Credit Controller

Michael Page are partnering with a successful business looking for a Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

Client Details

Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the team is looking for additional support.

Description

• Manage and monitor outstanding debts to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment issues.
• Prepare reports on debtor balances and payment trends for internal review.
• Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile accounts.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
• Assist in setting credit limits for new and existing customers.
• Handle queries related to invoices and payments professionally.

Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

• Experience in credit control or a similar accounting role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle disputes effectively.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Permanent position.
