Your tasks

As an Accountant, you will manage day-to-day accounting work for a retail organisation and help keep financial records accurate and up to date. You will work within the wider finance department, providing clear financial information that helps the business run smoothly.

Description

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Prepare routine financial information to support day-to-day business decisions.
• Review accounting entries and resolve discrepancies in a timely way.
• Reconcile relevant accounts to keep balances clear and reliable.
• Process financial data accurately and maintain organised supporting documents.
• Work with colleagues in the Accounting & Finance department to clarify financial information.
• Help maintain clear reporting records for the retail business.

Requirements

A successful Accountant should have

• Experience maintaining accurate financial records and accounting data.
• Confidence preparing and reviewing financial information.
• Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Experience completing account reconciliations accurately.
• Good attention to detail when processing financial transactions.
• Ability to organise financial documents and supporting information.

What we offer

Job Offer A salary of up to £50,000. Please note this role is a temporary to permanent opportunity (depending on performance).
