Commercial Director LATAM – Food Ingredients | São Paulo-SP
We are looking for a Commercial Director to lead the Food Ingredients business in Latin America. This position holds full responsibility for the region's commercial results, including revenue growth, profitability, and working capital management, ensuring the execution of the business's sustainable and profitable growth strategy. The professional will be responsible for driving commercial excellence, strengthening strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and global partners, developing high-performance teams, and expanding the company's share in markets and key accounts.
Responsibilities and assignments
Business Management and P&L Responsibility
- Lead the profitable growth of the Food Ingredients business in Latin America.
- Be responsible for the Revenue, Gross Profit, and Working Capital results of the business unit.
- Convert commercial opportunities into revenue by accelerating project commercialization and increasing success rates.
- Ensure discipline in pricing and margin management, maximizing profitability and value generation.
Commercial Excellence
- Develop and improve commercial excellence processes, including CRM, pipeline management, forecasting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement metrics and tools for monitoring commercial performance and data-driven decision-making.
- Promote greater predictability and efficiency in sales and business management.
Portfolio Management and Market Development
- Expand and optimize the product portfolio, aligning it with market needs and the company's growth strategies.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers, key partners, and strategic stakeholders.
- Increase share in strategic accounts and identify new market opportunities.
Leadership and People Development
- Lead, engage, and develop a high-performance team.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Identify skill gaps and implement actions to strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Ensure successor training and talent development within the organization.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main strategic interface between LATAM operations and global stakeholders.
- Influence business decisions through market analysis, commercial intelligence, and strategic vision.

Requirements and qualifications
Professional Experience
- Consolidated experience in commercial leadership positions with direct P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of profitable growth in B2B markets, preferably in the food ingredients, chemical specialties, or specialized distribution segments.
- Strong experience in commercial strategy, sales management, business development, and margin management.
- Experience in matrix environments and organizations with a high focus on performance.
Industry Knowledge
- Solid experience in the food ingredients industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the food market value chain.
- Experience in managing strategic suppliers, product portfolios, and value-based consultative sales.
- A relevant relationship network in the sector will be considered a differentiator.
