Your tasks
As an Industrial Electrician in Livingston, you will carry out electrical work across an Industrial / Manufacturing setting, helping engineering and production operations run safely and reliably. You will diagnose faults, complete installations and maintain equipment to reduce downtime and keep work moving.
Description
- Install, test and maintain electrical systems and equipment across the site.
- Identify electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks to help prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
- Respond to electrical breakdowns and prioritise work to minimise disruption to operations.
- Read and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
- Carry out inspections and functional tests following installation and repair work.
- Keep clear records of completed work, faults identified and materials used.
- Maintain safe working practices when completing electrical tasks within the engineering department.
Requirements
A successful 'Industrial Electrician' should have
- Experience carrying out industrial electrical installation, maintenance and repair work.
- Confidence diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on plant and equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Practical knowledge of electrical testing and inspection methods.
- Ability to plan and complete maintenance work accurately and safely.
- Experience recording completed work and reporting equipment issues clearly.
