Health and safety Manager

Immediate start Health and Safety Manager role working for a large supplier of building products based in Essex. This role is full time but has the option to be fractional. Client Details This organisation operates in the industrial and manufacturing sector in Essex and are looking for an interim Health and Safety Manager. Description Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and standards. Deliver training and guidance to staff on safety practices. Investigate and report on incidents and accidents. Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation. Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture. Provide expert advice on safety-related matters across departments. Profile Support the implementation and delivery of the company's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy. Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace safety assessments. Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events, identifying root causes and corrective actions. Support risk assessment and safe system of work development. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues, contractors, and managers on HSE matters. Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. Contribute to environmental improvement initiatives and sustainability objectives. Maintenance of management systems, documentation, and compliance records. Participate in safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement activities. Work closely with operational teams to promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
