1. Guest Attention and Service
Reception and welcome: Receive guests with a cordial and professional attitude.
Check-in and Check-out Management: Verify guest identity, register their data, assign rooms, and perform final billing at the time of departure.
Information and assistance: Answer questions regarding hotel services (spa, restaurants, schedules) and offer local tourist recommendations.
2. Reservation Management and Administration
Reservation control: Confirm, modify, and cancel reservations managed via telephone, email, or digital platforms.
PMS Management: Use the Property Management System (hotel management software) to update room status and process payments.
Payment management: Issue invoices, manage deposits, and process the collection of the stay and additional consumptions.
3. Internal Operations and Coordination
Coordination with other departments: Work together with the housekeeping team to report ready rooms and maintain operational flow.
Concierge services: Manage correspondence, messages, and special guest requests.
Night shift: In the case of night receptionists, their responsibilities include auditing the day's accounts, ensuring hotel security, and supervising other operational areas.
4. Security and Conflict Resolution
Incident resolution: Listen to complaints, handle claims, and offer quick and effective solutions.
Access control: Monitor circulation in the lobby and maintain guest privacy and security standards.
