Waiter/Waitress

Your tasks

The successful candidate will assist with taking orders, serving food and drinks, maintaining dining area cleanliness and ensuring customers enjoy a pleasant dining experience.

1. Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
• Present menus and explain menu items, promotions and daily specials.
• Take customer orders accurately and enter orders into the POS system.
• Respond to customer enquiries and special requests politely.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and refer complaints to the supervisor when necessary.

2. Food & Beverage Service

• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Check orders before serving to ensure correctness and presentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Check on customers during meals and attend to their needs.
• Clear used plates, glasses and cutlery promptly.

3. Dining Area Maintenance

• Prepare and arrange tables before service.
• Ensure tables, chairs, floors and service stations are clean and tidy.
• Reset tables after customers leave.
• Replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments and other service supplies.
• Follow the company's cleaning and hygiene procedures.

4. Sales & Promotions

• Recommend menu items, beverages and promotions to customers.
• Assist in promoting set meals, special offers and other products.
• Provide accurate information about menu items and prices.
• Support the outlet in achieving sales and customer satisfaction targets.

5. Cashier & Order Handling

• Process customer orders and payments when required.
• Handle cash, card and electronic payment transactions accurately.
• Issue receipts and assist with daily cashier duties.
• Follow proper cash-handling and payment procedures.

6. Teamwork & Operations

• Work closely with kitchen staff, supervisors and other service crew.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with company SOPs.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Report customer issues, equipment problems and stock shortages to the supervisor.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to restaurant operations.

Requirements

We are looking for a friendly, responsible and customer-oriented Waiter / Waitress to provide excellent food and beverage service to customers.

• Previous experience in a restaurant, café or F&B outlet is an advantage.
• No experience required for suitable candidates willing to learn.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, polite and presentable.
• Responsible, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
