The MEYER WERFT Group is an internationally active corporate group. It includes our two shipyard locations in Papenburg and Rostock as well as other subsidiaries. In total, around 5,200 employees work directly for us. Together with this highly qualified network, we build cruise ships, river cruise ships, and special vessels for customers from all over the world, tailored precisely to the respective markets and target groups.

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Supplier Manager (m/f/d) for our Procurement & Supply Chain Performance department.

Your Role:

As a Supplier Manager, you ensure that our suppliers meet the high quality and process requirements of the MEYER WERFT Group. You accompany suppliers from qualification through audits to sustainable further development, thereby making a significant contribution to a high-performance and reliable supply chain. Through your close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams and international partners, you make an important contribution to the success of our demanding shipbuilding projects.

The main focuses of your area of responsibility are:

• Qualification and development of new suppliers in accordance with the requirements and quality standards of the shipyard group
• Integration of suppliers into existing shipyard processes to ensure a high-performance and efficient supply chain
• Participation in the selection and evaluation of suppliers in shipyard-wide, cross-functional teams
• Independent planning, implementation, and documentation of system, process, and basic audits at national and international suppliers
• Analysis, evaluation, and follow-up of improvement measures for the sustainable increase of supplier performance
• Monitoring and ensuring the timely implementation of measures resulting from audit deviations
• Continuous supplier monitoring using suitable quality methods as well as statistical analysis and evaluation tools
• Initiation, tracking, and effectiveness testing of corrective actions for quality improvement, as well as conducting follow-up audits if necessary
• Technical supervision and support of apprentices, dual students, and interns

What you bring with you:

• Completed technical college education (e.g., state-certified technician) or a completed three-year specialist vocational training with many years of relevant professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in the field of quality management, supplier management, supplier development, or auditing in an industrial environment is an advantage
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing, as well as a willingness to undertake national and international business trips
• Strong communication, assertiveness, and organizational skills, as well as a structured and independent way of working
