QA Coordinator for Block Production (m/f/d)

The MEYER WERFT Group is an internationally active corporate group. It includes our two shipyard locations in Papenburg and Rostock as well as other subsidiaries. In total, around 5,200 employees work directly for us. Together with this highly qualified network, we build cruise ships, river cruise ships, and special vessels for customers from all over the world, tailored precisely to the respective markets and target groups.

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a QA Coordinator (m/f/d) for our Block Production department.

Your role:

In your role as QA Coordinator for Block Production, you will ensure the quality of our shipbuilding processes from the first production step to the final acceptance. You will monitor quality inspection points and quality gates in various assemblies, regularly check ongoing production processes, and intervene specifically in the event of deviations or quality defects. By performing and documenting acceptances – both internally and with external partners – you ensure transparent and traceable quality processes.

The main focuses of the area of responsibility are:

  • Monitoring and performing quality inspection points as well as quality gates in various assemblies
  • Regular control of production processes and intervention in case of quality defects or incorrect installations
  • Performing and documenting acceptances with or without external partners
  • Preparation, administration, and maintenance of all quality-relevant documents and acceptance documents
  • Recording, administration, and processing of quality-relevant data
  • Creation of data analyses and evaluations according to the specifications of the Quality Officer
  • Derivation, development, and communication of organizational and technical improvements within your own area of responsibility
  • Assistance in performing quality gates and quality-relevant testing processes
  • Situation-dependent deployment in other areas of the shipyard to support quality processes

What you bring with you:

  • Completed three-year technical vocational training
  • Several years of practical experience in a technical environment
  • Good English skills in speaking and writing
  • Careful, structured, and responsible way of working
  • Ability to evaluate technical processes and reliably recognize deviations
  • Cooperative collaboration with colleagues and external partners
  • Motivation to develop professionally and learn new methods

What we offer:

  • An interesting and diverse task in an internationally active company
  • A 35-hour week, 30 days of vacation, and attractive remuneration according to collective agreements
  • Flexible working hours and a team-oriented way of working, as well as attractive benefits (e.g., discounted lunch and drinks, company fitness discounts (Hansefit), bike leasing, Corporate Benefits, etc.)
  • With us, you will work independently, contribute your own ideas to the team, and thus contribute to our common success.
  • An open and respectful corporate culture, where we pursue goals together with a strong sense of "we".
  • We attach great importance to the compatibility of work and family and, since 2013, in cooperation with the German Red Cross as our provider, we have operated our company daycare center Nautilus with flexible opening hours.
