At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Master (m/f/d) for our Block Production department in the Block Joint Processing specialist area.
Your role:
As a Master in the area of Block Joint Processing, you will take on the technical and disciplinary leadership of your team and ensure the smooth running of the production processes. You will coordinate the welding technical work on the block joints, ensure compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements, and support the continuous optimization of processes. With your leadership competence and technical know-how, you will make an important contribution to the successful production of our ships.
The main focuses of your area of responsibility are:
- Technical and disciplinary leadership, guidance, and development of employees in the welding area
- Ensuring compliance with occupational safety, health, quality, and welding regulations, as well as fulfilling the assigned entrepreneurial duties
- Planning, controlling, and monitoring production processes, taking into account costs, deadlines, and quality targets
- Monitoring, controlling, and documenting welding processes and welding technical work
- Supporting short- and medium-term capacity and personnel deployment planning
- Induction, qualification, and regular instruction of employees
- Close cooperation with the departments of Design, Work Preparation, Quality Assurance, and Production
- Continuous analysis and optimization of production processes as well as active participation in the Continuous Improvement Process
- Recording and evaluating relevant process key figures as well as maintaining the associated production documentation
- Regular communication of relevant information and developments to employees
What you bring with you:
- Successfully completed further training as Industriemeister Metall, Handwerksmeister Metall, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a metalworking environment
- Additional qualification as a Welding Supervisor (e.g., International Welding Specialist (IWS)) or the willingness to acquire this qualification
- Confident handling of technical drawings, production documents, and welding technical documentation
- Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, especially DIN EN ISO 3834, DIN EN 1090, and DIN EN ISO 9606
- Good written and spoken English skills for cooperation in an international working environment
- Strong quality and safety awareness as well as a structured, independent way of working
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and enjoyment in leading and developing employees
- Confident handling of MS Office as well as ideally experience in using ERP systems
