The MEYER WERFT Group is an internationally active corporate group. It includes our two shipyard locations in Papenburg and Rostock as well as other subsidiaries. Together with this highly qualified network, we build, among other things, cruise ships, river cruise ships, and special ships for customers from all over the world, which are precisely tailored to the respective markets and target groups.
At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) for our Block Section Processing department.
Your role:
As a Mechanical Engineer in Block Section Processing, you will play a key role in ensuring that our state-of-the-art ships go into operation technically flawless. You will assemble and install complex machine and plant systems, perform functional tests, and ensure that technical systems are handed over to our customers reliably and ready for operation. With your technical know-how, you will analyze malfunctions, find practical solutions, and contribute decisively to the quality of our ships through your careful way of working.
The main focuses of your area of responsibility are:
- Assembly, installation, and commissioning of machine plants, technical systems, and supply lines based on technical documents and specifications
- Carrying out measurement, testing, and control work as well as documentation of the results
- Testing, monitoring, and optimizing machine plants, control systems, as well as automated control and guidance systems
- Independent analysis, troubleshooting, and rectification of malfunctions in technical plants and systems
- Carrying out adjustment work as well as assembly and commissioning of technically demanding machine and plant systems
- Acceptance and handover of plants and systems to customers, shipping companies, and classification societies, as well as conducting customer inductions
- Carrying out service and warranty assignments domestically and abroad
What you bring with you:
- Successfully completed at least a three-year vocational training as an Industriemechaniker specializing in machine and system technology, Mechatroniker, or a comparable technical qualification
- Experience in the assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machine plants and technical systems
- Good English skills for communication in an international project and service environment
- Sound knowledge in reading and applying technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation
- Independent, structured, and quality-conscious way of working as well as a high level of technical understanding
- Teamwork skills, flexibility, and willingness to undertake national as well as international service and warranty assignments
