Business Partner Production Controlling (m/f/d)

The MEYER WERFT Group is an internationally active corporate group. It includes our two shipyard locations in Papenburg and Rostock as well as other subsidiaries. At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Business Partner Production Controlling (m/f/d) for our Controlling department.

Your role:

In your role as a Business Partner in Production Controlling, you will take on a central interface function between Controlling and manufacturing. You will support a defined manufacturing area in economic management, create budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, and ensure transparency in cost and performance indicators.

You will develop a deep understanding of the operational processes, interpret KPI and planning data, and derive well-founded recommendations for action. As a sparring partner for the division and manufacturing management, you will advise on economic decisions, accompany budget rounds, and evaluate business cases and investments.

The main focuses of the area of responsibility are:

• Responsible support of an assigned manufacturing area (Laserzentrum, Modulfertigung, Blockfertigung, Endfertigung) including the creation of budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and reports for P&L and performance indicators.
• Building a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes as well as interpretation of cost and performance data including risk analysis
• Understanding and use of relevant KPIs, planning and master data, as well as their connection with performance progress and costs (EURO-based-Steering)
• Development, evaluation, and monitoring of measures for cost stability and reduction
• Close cooperation with operational division management and manufacturing management as an economic advisor
• Preparation and implementation of budget rounds including decision and defense of budget adjustments for cost centers and projects
• Technical evaluation of business cases, investment calculations, project calculations, and capacity planning
• Participation in monthly and annual financial statements as well as preparation of relevant controlling data
• Creation of training materials, conducting workshops, as well as clear, target-group-oriented communication and conflict moderation
• Independent takeover of projects as well as accompaniment of cross-divisional strategic initiatives with a controlling focus, including the construction of structured data models and cause-effect analyses

What you bring with you:

• University degree as a Wirtschaftsingenieur__ or technical training with further training as a technischer Betriebswirt, as well as relevant experience in commercial data analysis and consulting for manufacturing areas
• Good English skills in speaking and writing for cooperation in an international environment
• Confident handling of ERP systems (SAP) as well as very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to interpret complex data, recognize connections, and derive well-founded recommendations for action
• Clear, target-group-oriented exchange with specialist departments, managers, and stakeholders
• High self-organization, prioritization skills, and reliability in dynamic work environments
