Construction Coordinator in Block Production (m/f/d)

The MEYER WERFT Group is an internationally active corporate group. It includes our two shipyard locations in Papenburg and Rostock as well as other subsidiaries. At the earliest possible date, we are looking for several Construction Coordinators (m/f/d) for our Block Production department.

Your Role:

In your role as a Construction Coordinator in Block Production, you will take over the control and coordination of production processes within the area of ship insulation. You will coordinate deadlines with sub-suppliers and shipyard trades, monitor changes, and ensure that all work is carried out with high quality, on schedule, and in a cost-conscious manner. Additionally, you will perform inspections of lower complexity, document them, and evaluate additional scopes of work regarding effort, costs, and responsibilities.

The main focuses of the area of responsibility are:

• Monitoring and coordinating specified deadlines with sub-suppliers and involved shipyard trades
• Carrying out change services as well as active management of deviations and errors
• Ensuring timely, quality-oriented, and cost-conscious processing of all trades on board
• Carrying out and documenting inspections of lower complexity, both internally and together with external partners
• Assessment of additional scopes of work including assignment of costs, responsibilities, and impacts on the project progress
• Flexible support of other specialist departments of the shipyard depending on project requirements
• Technical guidance and support of apprentices and interns in everyday work

What you bring with you:

• Completed technical vocational training or a comparable qualification, ideally in shipbuilding, metal construction, or mechanical engineering
• Several years of experience in production, assembly, and insulation
• Confident appearance towards sub-suppliers, trades, and external partners
• Willingness for cross-departmental deployment within the shipyard
• Good English skills in speaking and writing for communication with international partners and suppliers
