Meyer Turku's outfitting is responsible for the outfitting of the engine and deck areas of the ships, as well as, among other things, the commissioning of power plants, propulsion, water production, and waste treatment systems.

Job description:

You will act as a supervisor for employees under an area manager and be responsible for the daily management, organization, and resourcing of work within your own area of responsibility in cooperation with the work planner. You will ensure that work progresses safely, with quality, and according to schedules.

Your tasks include:

• Acting as a supervisor for employees and managing daily work within your own area of responsibility
• Planning, organizing, and coordinating work together with the work planner

• Ensuring the adequacy and appropriate use of necessary resources
• Dividing work tasks as well as monitoring, supporting, and reporting on the progress of work

• Taking care of inspections in your area as well as customer and authority presentations
• Ensuring safe working, quality, and efficient operations within your own area of responsibility

• The Mechanical Fitter's tasks focus on the commissioning of ship systems, as well as the preparation and execution of pier and sea trials

What we expect from you:

• Suitable technical education for the position (technician, engineer)
• Previous experience in industrial or project business

• Fluent English language skills
• Good cooperation and interaction skills

• The ability to lead and inspire people
• A systematic and solution-oriented approach to work
