We are looking for an expert (system responsible) for the architectural department within the Hotel Design unit to be responsible for cruise ships' IHM / Delivery Documentation.

Hotel Design is responsible for the appearance and design of all public areas of the ship. This includes cabins, cabin areas, public spaces (such as theaters, restaurants, and crew public spaces), hotel technical service spaces, and architectural outdoor areas.

Job description:

As a System Responsible, you will work in a broad expert organization where you get to contribute to the shipbuilding project from the concept stage until the end of the ship's warranty. In this job, you will see your contribution implemented in practice and get to be part of building the world's most magnificent cruise ships!

As the System Responsible for Delivery Documentation in the Hotel Design unit, you are responsible for the Inventory of Hazardous materials document. Hotel design's delivery documentation also includes fire load calculations, certificates, and material books.

The role also includes preparing training materials and training internal partners and networks. Organizing and participating in authority inspections before the delivery of the ship.

What we expect from you:

You are a precise and systematic expert, motivated by clarifying technical details. You have an interest in material compliance, international regulations, and shipbuilding projects.

We hope that you have:

• Experience in assessing and documenting material compliance.
• The ability to interpret technical documents, material data, and manufacturer compliance documentation (MD/SDoC).
• An interest in shipbuilding materials, systems, and supply chains.
• Good cooperation and communication skills.
• A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented work attitude, as well as the ability to operate in a multi-project environment.

Additionally, we hope that you have suitable education for the position; engineer or master of science in technology. In this role, you will deal with various stakeholders and partners around the world, so you also need good oral and written English language skills.

Previous experience in shipbuilding or other project management roles is considered an advantage. To succeed in this role, you need proactivity and a solution-oriented approach. You master even large entities well and have a planned and goal-oriented way of working.

We particularly value:

• Knowledge of the requirements of the Hong Kong Convention (HKC) and the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR).
• Experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or retrofit projects.
• Experience with material databases and document management systems.
• Understanding of REACH, RoHS, or other chemical legislation.

You do not need expertise in all the topics mentioned above. Above all, we value the desire to learn, the ability to adopt new requirements, and an interest in developing as an IHM and documentation expert in an international maritime industry environment.
