In this role, you will act as part of the Risk and Safety Assessment team, which is responsible for the design, implementation, and approval of demanding performance-based design technical analyses. The purpose of performance-based design is to ensure that modern solutions, which do not meet conventional shipbuilding rules and requirements, provide an adequate level of safety.

As part of the team, you will also participate in supporting Meyer Turku's sales and product development, as well as research projects using risk and safety analysis methods.

Job description:

Ideation, design, and implementation of analyses

Authority communication and approval processes related to analyses

Qualitative and quantitative analyses

Probability-based risk analyses

Fire safety analyses and simulations

Evacuation analyses and simulations

Development of methods, methodologies, and tools

What we expect from you:

A suitable technical or mathematical university degree

Experience and expertise in at least some of the tasks described in the job description

Interest and passion to develop in the role and expand your expertise

Perseverance to delve into details as well as the ability to understand large entities

Problem-solving skills and organizational skills

Good English language skills (oral and written)

The ability to work in cooperation with the team and multidisciplinary experts, as well as to present convincingly in authority and customer situations

Additionally, we value:

Experience in performance-based design in a risk and safety context

Experience related to shipbuilding
