Design Engineer

Job Title :Design Engineer Department :Design Engineering Reporting : Lead Design Engineer

Job Summary : To work alongside the design team and develop designs throughout Schematic and Technical design phases. Responsible for completion of full project drawing packages, schedules and specifications.

Key Responsibility

• Preparation of shop drawings based on client’s drawings/sketches/data .
• Prepare fabrication drawings based on the approved shop drawings.
• Preparation of BOQ, materials specifications and calculation of quantities.
• Coordinate with fabrication team during the mockup construction.
• Coordination with the fabrication team during job construction.
• Preparation and release of dispatch & installation drawings.
• Completion of all necessary internal formats as per predefined system in the department.

Skills/Competencies Technical & Personal:

• Advanced Level Competency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, RHINO, Grasshopper or similar design software.
• An eye for detail and a naturally creative person with a passion for interiors & design. An awareness of how a creative idea can be developed as per client’s requirement of design.
• Good communication skills in English.

Qualification:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience : Over 3 years of experience as a design engineer having worked in sheet metal industry
