Teaching Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teaching assistant to join our school in a key classroom support position.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work with the teachers to help raise the learning and attainment of all pupils. You will be committed to promoting students’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. A confidence to give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement. You will demonstrate your ability to work independently whilst remaining a strong member of the team. Main duties
Support students with individual needs under the guidance of our SENCo
Encourage the participation of all students in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures
Organise and manage resources
Observe student performance and discuss observations with the class teacher
Read and discuss lesson plans shared before lessons
Communicate effectively with other colleagues
Develop appropriate skills, qualifications, and/or experience needed for the role, through in school professional development opportunities
Promote and follow safeguarding guidance and child protection procedures
Requirements
Essential
Enjoy working with children
Resilient, positive, and enthusiastic about making a difference
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good organisational skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Sensitivity and understanding, to help build good relationships with students
A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all students, and promoting the ethos and values of the school
Desirable
Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting
Experience working with children or young people
Experience planning and delivering learning activities
Understanding and use of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
Salary and benefit package
Successful candidates will be employees of QatarEnergy and enjoy paid school holidays and sick leave as per policy. All candidates must be sponsored by their husband and currently be living in the State of Qatar.
