The goal is to ensure efficient, timely, and economical production planning through the creation, coordination, and continuous optimization of rough and fine planning, taking into account capacities, material availability, and requirements within the Merz Group.

These are your tasks:

• Creation and maintenance of medium- and short-term production planning (rough planning) taking into account forecasts, capacities, and delivery obligations; execution of detailed production sequencing planning (fine planning) at the line or equipment level
• Ensuring optimal utilization of production resources, taking into account setup times, campaign planning, and lot size optimization
• Identification of capacity bottlenecks as well as derivation and implementation of suitable countermeasures; regular coordination of production plans with national and international production sites
• Ensuring the synchronization of production quantities, capacities, and delivery dates; ensuring transparent communication of relevant planning changes
• Close cooperation with global Supply Chain planning to coordinate forecasts and requirements; participation in global planning rounds (e.g., S&OP)
• Consolidation of local planning into higher-level planning cycles; ensuring the implementation of global planning strategies at the local level
• Ensuring material availability for the planned production orders
• Continuous analysis and improvement of planning processes from efficiency and cost perspectives
• Ensuring compliance with GMP requirements as well as internal guidelines and SOPs; participation in audits and implementation of measures from CAPAs
• Standardization and documentation of processes in the area of production planning; responsible for the quality and timeliness of production planning
• Decision-making authority within the framework of fine planning as well as for short-term adjustments
• Escalation responsibility in the event of capacity or material bottlenecks

This is what you bring:

• Completed studies in the field of economics, Supply Chain Management, logistics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in production planning / Supply Chain Planning, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
• Sound knowledge in production planning, capacity management, and material requirements planning
• Experience in handling ERP systems (SAP)
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
• Analytical thinking skills and a structured way of working
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Assertiveness as well as high solution orientation
• Ability to work in a team in an international environment
• Fluent English in speaking and writing
