Are you the kind of person who sees ROAS slip on a Shopping campaign and takes ownership of finding out why, from product feed to bid strategy to margin? Do you want to shape how paid media is done across an entire agency, and do you treat AI as a serious multiplier for what you can deliver? Then you might be the person we're looking for at our office in the center of Copenhagen. Mercive is a fast-growing Shopify e-commerce agency based in Copenhagen. We're the right match if you want to join a team that pushes boundaries and solves real business problems through design, technology, and strategy. We believe AI is fundamentally changing how digital work gets done, and we put it at the core of how we work: a genuine multiplier for quality, speed, and what's possible to deliver. We're looking for specialists with an entrepreneurial mindset: people who take initiative, own outcomes, and hold themselves accountable without waiting to be told.

The Role You'll take responsibility for our PPC practice and set the standard for how paid media is run at Mercive. That covers the retainer clients we grow month over month, and new storefronts where campaigns, feed, and tracking have to be right from launch day. This is e-commerce PPC, not lead generation. Our clients sell products, so you'll steer on revenue, contribution margin, and new customers rather than cost per lead. Most of the work sits in Google Shopping and Performance Max, backed by Search and Demand Gen, and the product feed matters as much as the campaign structure. AI runs through all of it. The ad platforms now automate bidding, targeting, and much of the creative, so the edge has moved to what you feed them: product data, profit signals, first-party data, and clean measurement. We want someone who works with that automation, and who questions it when the numbers don't add up. Claude Code is a core tool in the role. You'll use it to work directly with the Google Ads API, Merchant Center, and Shopify data: mining search terms at scale, enriching product feeds, building pacing and anomaly alerts, and automating reporting. You don't need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable directing an AI agent in a terminal and keen to build your own tools rather than wait for someone else to. Shopify is our main focus, and much of your work will center on premium DTC and fashion brands. That means large catalogs with variants and seasonal drops, multi-market setups with Shopify Markets, currencies, and languages, and peak periods like Black Friday where planning decides the result. You'll work closely with SEO, UX, developers, and project management so paid, organic, and the storefront pull in the same direction. This is a fast-paced environment where the people who take ownership and run with things go furthest.

Responsibilities Take ownership of Mercive's PPC practice, defining best practices and ensuring they're applied consistently across all client accounts

Drive paid strategy and execution for retainer clients across Google Shopping, Performance Max, Search, and Demand Gen, turning ad spend into profitable revenue

Own product feed strategy and Merchant Center health: titles, attributes, custom labels, supplemental feeds, and disapprovals

Build and maintain AI-driven workflows in Claude Code for search term analysis, feed enrichment, budget pacing, anomaly detection, and reporting

Steer accounts on business outcomes such as contribution margin, POAS, MER, and new-customer share, not only platform-reported ROAS

Own conversion tracking and measurement together with our developers: enhanced conversions, Consent Mode, server-side tagging, and GA4

Run international and multi-market campaigns, aligned with Shopify Markets, local currencies, and languages

Plan and execute peak periods such as Black Friday, seasonal drops, and sales, including budget forecasts and stock-aware campaign plans

Run structured experiments on bid strategies, campaign structure, creative, and landing pages, and turn the results into shared learnings

Monitor performance, diagnose drops in spend efficiency, and act decisively when something changes

Work closely with SEO, UX, developers, and project management so paid media is part of new projects from the start

Present performance, recommendations, and budget plans to clients in clear commercial terms

Stay ahead of how AI is reshaping paid search and shopping, and turn emerging formats into concrete strategies for our clients

Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, helping raise the overall paid media competence of the agency

Qualifications An entrepreneurial mindset: a self-starter who takes initiative, owns outcomes, and holds themselves accountable

At least 3 years of professional PPC experience, with the majority spent on e-commerce accounts rather than lead generation or service businesses

Deep hands-on experience with Google Ads for e-commerce: Shopping, Performance Max, Search, and Demand Gen

Strong command of Google Merchant Center and product feed optimization, ideally with a feed tool such as Channable or DataFeedWatch

Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar agentic AI tools, or a strong drive to master them quickly

Comfort with the technical side of paid media: Google Ads scripts, APIs, spreadsheets at scale, and enough SQL or Python to read and adjust what an AI agent writes

Solid grasp of e-commerce measurement: GA4, Google Tag Manager, enhanced conversions, Consent Mode, and attribution

Commercial understanding of how margins, stock levels, returns, and customer lifetime value should shape bidding and budgets

Experience with Shopify stores is a strong plus

Experience with international and multi-market accounts

Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, prioritized recommendations for clients

Positive, solution-oriented mindset, with strong organizational skills

Benefits Daily lunch at Restaurant Lalala

Coffee, soda & snacks in the office

Friday bars & fun events
