HR Business Partner | Insurance City of London | Hybrid £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

Meraki Talent is working with a UK insurance firm looking for a HR BP to join the HR function. This is a broad, hands on HRBP role, you will be working in a small HR team balancing strategic people initiatives and day to day HR delivery.

HR BP Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing commercially focused HR advice and guidance.
  • Manage and advise on a range of employee relations cases, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, working with hiring managers to identify talent requirements and ensuring a smooth employee experience from offer through to joining.
  • Partner with managers across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through development, performance management, progression and exit.
  • Responsible for updating and changing policies and procedures as per legislation changes.
  • Support organisational development and design, helping the business evolve its people structure, capability and ways of working.
  • Work closely with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning and future resourcing requirements.
  • Use HR data and people insights to identify trends, support decision-making and shape people strategies.
  • Support organisational change, restructures and wider people initiatives where required.
  • Coach and develop managers, building HR capability across the business.
  • Contribute to and deliver the wider HR strategy, translating business priorities into practical people solutions.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working as an HR Business Partner within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong experience managing employee relations matters.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and the wider employee lifecycle.
  • A good understanding of workforce planning, organisational development and organisational change.
  • Confidence working with HR data and people analytics to provide meaningful insight.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the ability to balance day-to-day HR delivery with longer-term strategy.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to operate autonomously while working collaboratively within a wider HR function
