Project Manager, Superyacht Catering Solutions
What is it about? You will strengthen our eight-person project management team, where we play a key role in being responsible for the successful project delivery of catering solutions for the world's largest superyachts. The catering solutions to be delivered include spaces related to food storage, preparation, and handling with their equipment, dish storage and washing areas, as well as bar back-of-house areas.
Members of our project team typically have a designated country- and shipyard-specific area of responsibility, but we also actively support our colleagues' work. We join projects at the final stage of the concept design and contract negotiations prepared by sales. The actual project phase begins once the contract is signed and typically lasts 1-3 years. During the project, we collaborate internally with sales, design, and production, as well as installation and after-market operations. Our external stakeholders include, among others, shipyards, shipping companies, equipment and other suppliers, subcontractors, classification societies, and health authorities. Standards and regulations related to cruise vessels as well as food handling and preparation form a unique operating environment for us.
Your key tasks: Comprehensive management and coordination of the project Scheduling and resource planning in cooperation with stakeholders Ensuring information availability for project parties Coordination of procurement: equipment and material procurement as well as installation services Budget management; cost monitoring and reporting, as well as risk identification and management Supervision of the installation and delivery phase as well as quality control, including ship visits Participation in solving challenges encountered by the project Documentation and reporting; monitoring project status and reporting to management, the customer, and various other stakeholders Active general customer and stakeholder cooperation, with both internal and external partners
What kind of expert are we looking for? We hope you have a suitable degree as a Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering, as well as previous experience in project and contract deliveries involving design, equipment and solution deliveries, and installation activities, preferably in international operating environments. We require expertise in general project management, stakeholder cooperation, and monitoring project costs and quality. You know how to read technical drawings. As an advantage, we consider any previous experience in project deliveries in shipbuilding, industry, maintenance, or other similar environments from which you have gained the competence to succeed in our role. Our international operating environment requires good English language skills. Other language skills are an advantage. The position requires readiness to travel approximately 30-50 days per year, mainly in Europe.
Your way of working is efficient, systematic, and organized, without forgetting a firm project management style. You are proactive and have a positive attitude toward developing new ways of working. You know and understand the factors that influence project success, and you are known specifically as a guarantor of successful projects. You have good stress tolerance and the confidence to act in changing situations. Additionally, you are cooperative and build trust around you with your interpersonal skills.
