Senior Solution Architect - Financial / Capital Markets Technology

A well-established bank with a significant presence across Asia, is looking for a senior architect to lead the architecture direction for its Financial / Capital Markets Technology. The role is based in Singapore. You’ll set the architecture vision for the trading, risk and data platforms that support the Markets business, and work with technology and business teams across several countries to turn complex needs into practical, scalable designs. What you’ll do: Shape the target-state architecture and the modernisation roadmap for Markets platforms Lead solution design across the application, integration and data layers Act as the senior design reviewer, guiding teams on standards and on when an exception is justified Assess vendor platforms and favour configuration over custom build where it makes sense Find opportunities to simplify the technology estate and retire ageing components Work with business, risk, operations and engineering stakeholders to build alignment on priorities Present options and recommendations to architecture and governance forum. What you’ll bring: A strong background in solution or application architecture, with extensive experience in financial markets, capital markets technology at a large banking institution A solid grasp of the trade lifecycle, risk and market data flows Experience designing real-time, high-availability systems Hands-on experience with enterprise vendor platforms in the markets or controls space A track record of delivering architecture roadmaps across more than one countryClear communication and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority Why this role This is a regional role with real influence over how a major bank’s Markets technology evolves.
