Housekeeping Operations Assistant

SCOPE: HOTEL

REPORTS TO: HOUSEKEEPER DEPARTMENT: HOUSEKEEPING

MISSION: Support the Housekeeper in all administrative and operational responsibilities. This includes ensuring that rooms and public areas meet hotel standards, managing inventories and supplies, implementing cleaning procedures, and coordinating with other departments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure adequate coverage and supervision of cleaning sections at all times.
• Ensure that all rooms are prepared and inspected according to cleaning standards.
• Assist the Housekeeper in the daily supervision of staff.
• Assign tasks and supervise the work of room attendants or cleaners.
• Manage the staff under their charge and assign the daily workload in each case.
• Implement relevant Housekeeping procedures related to cleaning.
• Take charge of and ensure the training of new hires.
• Ensure that all procedures for the management and handling of linen and uniforms are respected.
• Ensure there is an adequate stock level for the proper functioning of the cleaning department and ensure replenishments accordingly.
• Share daily activity highlights with the Housekeeper, including internal and external guest incidents.
• Manage any guest complaints professionally, taking ownership and resolving them effectively or providing support in conflict resolution.
• Ensure strict control of room keys and section keys.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

University degree or Higher Degree preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, or specific training in housekeeping.

LANGUAGES:

English indispensable

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of hotel operations.

EXPERIENCE:

2 years of experience in a similar position in the hotel sector.

• Minimum education: High school - Bachillerato General
• 2 years of experience
• Languages: English
• Age: between 30 and 45 years
• Knowledge: Leadership, Microsoft excel
