Role Description: The Non-Drugs Operation Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for operational performance of non-drug product categories across Medplus stores. This role includes monitoring inventory levels, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for non-pharmaceutical items. The officer will work closely with store managers to support the efficient and profitable operation of the non-drug business by coordinating product availability, inventory, merchandising, sales performance, supplier activities, and compliance across stores or business units. The role requires active collaboration, clear communication, and consistent follow-up to ensure smooth, efficient non-drug operations across the network.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including inventory control, process optimization, and coordination across multiple locations. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to collaborate with store teams, management, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Relevant experience in retail or pharmacy operations, supply chain, or store management is beneficial. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency with basic office software (Excel) and ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage. Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are important.
Other Duties Include:
Ensure products are properly displayed, available, correctly priced, and aligned with merchandising standards. Coordinate the day-to-day operations of non-drug product categories across assigned locations. Monitor operational issues and ensure timely resolution. Monitor stock levels, stock movement, replenishment, and product availability. Identify slow-moving, fast-moving, damaged, expired, and obsolete products and recommend appropriate actions. Support stock accuracy and minimize stock-outs, overstocking, and losses. Monitor sales performance by category, product, and location. Track KPIs, identify performance gaps, and recommend actions to improve revenue and profitability. Support promotional activities and initiatives to drive non-drug sales. Liaise with suppliers and internal procurement teams on product availability, deliveries, pricing, and promotions. Support new product introductions and ensure products are properly set up across relevant locations. Conduct regular store visits to assess product availability, merchandising, pricing, cleanliness, and adherence to operational standards. Ensure non-drug products are displayed according to approved guidelines. Prepare regular reports on sales, stock levels, product availability, losses, and operational performance. Analyse trends and provide recommendations to management for improved category performance. Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
