Your tasks in this position include
- Conducting laboratory experiments (cell culture, molecular biology, microscopy, and animal experiments) to analyze cellular signal transduction via TRP ion channels
- Compilation of research proposals and acquisition of third-party funding for the respective research activities
- University teaching and supervision of students/PhD students
- Assumption of organizational and administrative tasks
For this versatile position, you bring the following qualifications and knowledge
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in the field of Molecular Biomedicine
- Scientific (peer-reviewed) publications in international specialist journals
- Practical experience and knowledge in the investigation of TRP- and mechanosensitive ion channels as well as calcium signaling pathways and immunological questions
- Practical experience and knowledge in several of the following laboratory methods:
Cell culture qPCR Western Blot and ELISA Flow cytometry Fluorescence, confocal, and/or TIRF microscopy CRISPR/Cas9-based cell models ** Planning and execution of animal experiments including experience in handling mouse models (FELASA B or equivalent training)
- Very good English skills (language level C1)
Ideally, these belong to your profile
- Experience in teaching and didactic skills
- Very good IT skills (MS Office, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo or comparable software)
- Communication skills and social competence for working in an international environment
- Willingness to cooperate, openness, and teamwork skills
- Systematic and analytical way of working as well as excellent organizational skills
Classification and Remuneration Classification into the usage group B1 according to the collective agreement for university employees.
We offer a collective agreement annual gross salary based on full-time employment in the amount of EUR 70,200.20. Creditable previous employment periods lead to a higher basic salary.
