Based in MSC’s Singapore Regional Office, the Logistics Team is responsible for overall Intermodal, Equipment, Warehouse, Maintenance and Repair. In this position, the incumbent will have opportunities to display their abilities, acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities

Drive regional equipment and intermodal operations, optimising efficiency, costs and business performance across the Far East network.

  • Identify operational requirements within Logistics and leverage digital solutions to address business needs.
  • Coordinate intermodal operations by liaising with feeder operators and agencies on rates, space, routing changes, urgent shipments and feeder requests.
  • Plan and coordinate the repositioning of empty equipment across inland locations to support export demand and operational priorities.
  • Monitor equipment inventory, stock imbalances, idle containers, turnaround times, utilisation trends, vessel schedules, service changes, port congestion, delays, omissions and import/export imbalances.
  • Guide routing and pricing decisions to improve cost efficiency, service reliability and equipment flow, while ensuring alignment with regional and corporate objectives.
  • Regularly assess and benchmark vendor and service provider performance, while managing contract renewals, service improvements, rate reviews and operational responsiveness.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or its equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in the container shipping industry, preferably with exposure to carrier, container control or intermodal operations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, cost trends and performance information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Negotiation skills and vendor management experience would be an added advantage
