Medical Advisor - Medical Insurance

Job Objective:

Provide technical and administrative support in the evaluation, analysis, and authorization of medical requests related to health services, ensuring compliance with insurance policies, medical criteria, and guidelines established by the organization to guarantee efficient and timely care for policyholders.

Tasks to perform

• Analyze and evaluate requests for medical services.
• Issue authorizations for medications, laboratories, and diagnostic studies.
• Verify coverage and conditions of medical insurance policies.
• Review clinical documentation for decision-making.
• Follow up on cases and inquiries related to medical expenses.
• Comply with established times and procedures for the management of authorizations.

Requirements

• University degree as a graduated General Practitioner.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the private health sector.
• General knowledge of medical insurance.
• Experience in interpreting policies and coverage, management, and review of medical expense claims.
• Intermediate technical English proficiency in reading.
• Analytical capacity and attention to detail.
• Communication skills and service orientation.
• Availability of schedules Monday to Sunday - fixed shift assigned - on-site modality.
