Senior Maintenance Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing technical maintenance and after-sales support for medical and laboratory equipment across an assigned geographical area. The role involves regular field visits to customers, preventive and periodic maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, equipment installation and commissioning, and ensuring that all equipment within the assigned customer portfolio operates efficiently, safely, and reliably.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Execute daily and weekly maintenance plans according to the schedule assigned by the Area Maintenance Manager.
Cover all assigned customers within the designated geographical area and conduct regular field visits according to the approved maintenance schedule.
Perform preventive and periodic maintenance for medical and laboratory equipment at customer sites.
Conduct equipment inspections and performance checks to identify potential technical issues before equipment failure occurs.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform the required corrective maintenance and repairs.
Install, commission, test, and operate newly supplied medical equipment at customer sites.
Ensure that installed and repaired equipment operates according to required technical specifications and manufacturer standards.
Identify required spare parts accurately, submit spare-parts requests, install replacement parts, and conduct performance testing.
Respond to customer technical complaints and maintenance requests within the required response time.
Submit daily maintenance reports covering completed visits, equipment status, pending cases, required spare parts, and follow-up actions.
Ensure proper use and protection of company tools, testing equipment, spare parts, and other assigned assets.
Support junior maintenance engineers when required and participate in technical evaluation of maintenance team candidates when requested.
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
5-8 years of experience in maintenance and technical support, preferably within the medical equipment or laboratory diagnostics industry.
Strong experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment.
Good understanding of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
Very good command of English and very good MS Office / computer skills.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned geographical area.
