*Position Overview*
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in Metal Manufacturing, SolidWorks, and Tool Design. You will be responsible for developing fixtures, analyzing mechanical assemblies, and leading process improvement projects. If you have experience with DFM/DFA and a commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment, we?d love to connect.

- Provide your expertise to multiple departments of varying technical knowledge

*Key Accountabilities:*
- Develop and test machining jigs, fixtures, and gauges
- Propose ways to reduce costs and maximize quality
- Update manufacturing drawings to improve clarity and reflect as-built condition
- Support product development with design changes and improvements
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers
- Control SolidWorks models and produce machine drawings
- Design and analyze mechanical components parts and assemblies
- Analyze and improve processes
- Participate in design reviews with an eye for DFM and DFA
- Project manage improvement projects
- Assist in developing robotics and automated solutions
*Qualifications:*
- Self-starter
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, and tool design
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
- Commitment to health and safety
- SolidWorks proficient
- Mechanical hands-on skills
- Manual milling, turning, drilling, fitting, fabrication & assembly
*Shift: *7:00am - 3:30pm | Monday - Friday
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
