Night Shift Supervisor
Role & Responsibilities The Night Shift Supervisor will oversee the night shift team, ensuring work is allocated fairly amongst the technicians, completed efficiently and meets the company’s operational standards. They will lead by example, maintain high levels of professionalism and ensure appropriate staffing and training across departments. They will regularly review employee competency and identify opportunities for development and upskilling.
The role is responsible for coordinating the picking, scanning, testing, quality checking, storage and movement of equipment, including loading and unloading vehicles and managing returning rental stock. They will work closely with other teams to resolve stock discrepancies, equipment shortages and system issues. They will do this whilst ensuring accurate asset control and effective shift handovers.
The Night Supervisor will also support and cover management responsibilities when required, maintain high Health & Safety standards, carry out inspections, escalate concerns appropriately and ensure equipment is handled only by trained and authorised staff. In addition, they will contribute to training documentation, improve storage and stock-handling processes, maintain tidy and safe working areas and encourage a culture of continuous improvement across the night shift.
What we are looking for The ideal candidate will be adept with IT systems, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and inventory tracking systems such as RT Pro. They will be a strong communicator who is adaptable and willing to learn. They will demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends in line with business needs.
What’s on offer This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, operating on a rotating shift basis between 7:00pm and 7:00am, which includes some weekend work. We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime.
