Technical Superintendent

Job Title: Technical Superintendent / Vessel Manager Location: Singapore (Office-based with vessel attendance) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Maritime We are seeking a proactive and driven Technical Superintendent to join our growing operations team in Singapore. Whether you are an experienced shore-based superintendent looking for a fresh challenge, a seasoned seafarer ready to make the transition ship-to-shore , or a qualified CoC Class 2 (Second Engineer) eager to step up into a management role, we want to hear from you. You will take ownership of the technical performance, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance of an assigned fleet. Key Responsibilities Fleet Technical Management: Monitor the operational condition, maintenance status, and machinery performance of assigned vessels.

Maintenance & Dry-Docking: Plan, coordinate, and supervise vessel repairs, dry-docking projects, and class/statutory surveys.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage technical operating budgets (OPEX), monitor expenditure, and oversee technical purchasing of spare parts and stores.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vessels strictly adhere to Flag State, Class rules, ISM, SOLAS, and MARPOL international standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise closely with Masters, Chief Engineers, classification societies, shipyards, and vendors.

Vessel Inspections: Conduct routine onboard vessel visits and safety inspections.

Key Requirements Qualifications: Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 2 (Marine Engineer Officer) or higher, OR

Relevant maritime degree/diploma in Marine Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience Profile (Flexible): Experienced Technical Superintendents looking for a new platform, OR

Sea-going professionals (Second Engineers / Chief Engineers) ready for a ship-to-shore career transition , OR

Ambitious CoC Class 2 holders with strong operational shipboard experience wanting to break into shore management.

Skills & Competencies: Strong working knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, and Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).

Familiarity with international maritime rules, safety management systems (ISM), and class statutory requirements.

Effective communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard ship-management software.
