Associate Attorney - Medical Malpractice

Responsibilities Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on various issues related to Medical Malpractice
Develop case strategies, evaluate settlement value, and provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and legal options.
Take lead on cases from beginning to end
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations
Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
Attend continuing legal education courses to stay current on legal developments in Medical Malpractice
Experience Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the State Bar of New Mexico
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice, complex litigation, wrongful death, or similar
Previous experience working on cases with high exposure ($10M+)
Strong research and writing skills
Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to travel when necessary
