Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Singapore
Maybell Quantum is building the hardware foundation of the quantum era. Our redesigned dilution refrigerator gives labs more fridges per room, more experiments per fridge, and a level of reliability and usability the field has never had. We are a fast-growing, venture-backed team of scientists and engineers, and the cryogenic systems we build ship to leading quantum computing groups around the world.
We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to help stand up and run production at our new operations facility in Singapore. You will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams in Denver to transfer proven processes so both sites build to a single standard.
Responsibilities
Configure and optimize production lines for manufacturing of Maybell’s pulse tubes and Cold Cloud refrigerators
Implement manufacturing quality and organizational systems
Lead continuous improvement efforts
Develop work instructions and production documentation
Design manufacturing jigs and equipment to improve production quality and throughput
Collaborate with engineering to improve system design and DFM
Build and manage aggressive production schedules
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or equivalent field
8+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
3+ years of work experience leading a manufacturing line
3+ years of management experience
Self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity with ability to drive results independently and through team members
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Exceptional hands-on assembly and fabrication skills
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
Strong CAD & mechanical design skills
Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong safety-oriented mindset
Desired Qualifications
Experience in any of the following areas: vacuum systems, leak checking, thermal systems, brazing, welding, valves, pumps, pneumatics
Experience in managing quality systems
Machine shop and fabrication skills
