Job Overview The Physiotherapy Assistant supports physiotherapists in delivering organized, attentive care to patients. The role helps patients participate in their care plans and supports smooth day-to-day clinical work.
Duties
- Assist physiotherapists in delivering treatment programs to patients.
- Assist with setting up and preparing treatment areas.
- Apply modalities such as heat, ice, and other treatment equipment as directed by the physiotherapist.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions and report any concerns to the physiotherapist.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
- Assist with patient flow, appointment preparation, documentation and general clinic duties.
- Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises.
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for patients.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Physiotherapy Assistant diploma or relevant education is preferred.
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy or healthcare setting is an asset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
What we offer
Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
