Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Export-Import Staff.
- Understanding export-import procedures: Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.), HS Code & goods classification, export-import documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, COO, Form E, PEB/PIB, etc.), customs regulations & licensing.
- Understanding shipping & logistics processes (sea, air, land freight).
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and professional email.
- Active English (oral & written) for communication with suppliers, buyers, forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Additional languages (Mandarin, Japanese, etc.) are a plus if related to the market.
- Meticulous & organized in managing documents.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem solving, especially when there are shipping or document constraints.
- Time management and able to work with tight deadlines.
- Able to work both in a team and independently.
- Ready to undergo +- 2 weeks of training in Surabaya.
- After training in Surabaya, willing to be placed in Ciangir, Legok, Tangerang.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and checking export–import documents: Invoice, Packing List, Purchase Order, Bill of Lading / Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin (COO), Form E, Form D, etc., Customs documents (PEB, PIB).
- Ensuring data on documents matches the goods sent/received.
- Maintaining export–import document archives neatly for audit purposes.
- Arranging shipping schedules with forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, international couriers, and warehouse parties.
- Ensuring goods are packed according to standards (wooden packing, pallets, wrapping, etc.).
- Monitoring shipping status until arrival at the destination.
- Handling insurance claims if there is damage/loss.
- Checking HS Code, calculating import duties & taxes.
- Communicating with buyers, forwarders, surveyors, and shipping parties. Following up on document & shipment status via email/telephone.
- Negotiating freight, trucking, handling, or storage costs.
- Supporting the sales/procurement team regarding import cost estimates & lead time.
- Checking technical goods specifications to ensure they match the documents.
