Your tasks
The Services required are set out as follows
- Provide targeted intervention, mentoring and monitoring for identified students in collaboration with the Student Development Team, teachers and stakeholders.
- Build trusting relationships and develop social-emotional competencies, self-regulation, empathy, conflict-resolution skills and responsible behaviour.
- Plan and facilitate restorative practices that strengthen relationships, student voice and belonging and repair harm.
- Conduct community-building, listening, storytelling and peacemaking circles, restorative conversations and coaching, collaborative activities and values lessons for selected classes.
- Support students experiencing relationship conflicts and strengthen partnerships among students, parents and teachers.
- Maintain confidential records of interventions, follow-up, progress and programme outcomes; comply with Annex C Expectations of Instructor and perform assigned support duties within working hours.
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience in a mainstream primary school, directly supporting primary-school-aged students.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work or related disciplines are preferred.
- WSQ-accredited certification as a practitioner in Restorative Practice / Building Relational Capacity is preferred.
Other
Contract Period: 4 January 2027 to 19 November 2027, excluding school holidays.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours
- One full day per week: 8:00am to 5:00pm, including a one-hour meal break.
- Two half days per week: 8:00am to 12:30pm, including a 30-minute break.
- Deployment is during official school terms. Days are set in the termly schedule, provided at least one week before term starts; adjustments require at least three working days' notice.
