1610 Kitchen Assistant (Nutrition and Food Science)/Marine Terrace MRT

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028 (two firm years).
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and MOE/school holidays, unless requested by the school.
- Specified non-service periods: 2–23 June 2027; 1 November–28 December 2027; 1–22 June 2028; 30 October–27 December 2028. Deployment during these periods may be requested by the school.
Requirements:
- Secondary education is preferred.
- At least one year of experience as an FCE Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school is preferred.
- Basic spoken English for understanding instructions and communicating with teachers is preferred.
- Cooking ability is preferred.
Job Scopes: The Services required are set out as follows:
- Prepare ingredient trays for Nutrition and Food Science practical lessons and examinations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of both NFS kitchens: sweep and mop floors, clear waste bins, and clean cookers, tables and sinks where further cleaning is needed after student use.
- Assist with orders for food, kitchen equipment, cleaning materials and cleaning equipment.
- Monitor ingredient stocks and expiry dates.
- Clean refrigerators in June and October as scheduled by the school.
- Wash and fold kitchen towels and aprons using the available washing machine and dryer.
- Report defects in both kitchens to the Operations Manager.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principal, HOD, Operations Manager or Administration Manager.
