0710 Science Laboratory Technician/Marine Parade MRT

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 1:30pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.
• Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break.
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Requirements: The following qualifications, skills and experience are preferred:

• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate Science-related electronic devices, including hydroponics and aquaponics equipment.
• Practical gardening skills, including weeding, planting and watering.
• More than two years of relevant experience in a similar role and in a school environment is preferred.

Job Scopes: The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Support daily operations of Science laboratories, gardens, aquaponics and hydroponics systems, and the pond.
2. Set up, clean and maintain the laboratories and Science areas, and keep the Recycling Corner clean.
3. Prepare laboratory apparatus, equipment and teaching materials for scheduled activities.
4. Assist with stocktaking and equipment maintenance.
5. Type worksheets and notes.
6. Support departmental events, activities and programmes, and perform other duties assigned by the school.
