Your tasks
Job Scopes
- Provide counselling support to augment the school's existing School Counsellor.
- Support the professional development of teachers.
- Equip student peer supporters to understand adolescent issues, including cyberbullying, stress and relationships, identify peers needing help and refer them to counsellors for follow-up.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work or a related Social Science field.
At least three years of counselling experience with youths aged 12–18 in a school, residential home or community centre.
Ability to remain calm and empathetic in stressful situations, build rapport with youths and maintain professional boundaries.
Patience, compassion, resilience and teamwork skills.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
What we offer
Salary: SGD 25–40 per hour.
Other
Job position: Part-time School Counsellor
Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 29 October 2027.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 3:00pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and protected time during school holidays.
