Safety Coordinator (Contract based)

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards, ensuring compliance with company ISO and OSHAS policies
- Perform daily site inspections and initiate corrective actions, preparing detailed inspection reports for the Construction Manager to facilitate prompt resolution
- Collaborate with construction teams to address safety concerns and lead daily toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness
- Enforce all applicable safety legislation and internal safety rules and regulations to maintain a high standard of workplace safety
- Implement and monitor the Safety Management System on construction sites to ensure adherence to safe work procedures by supervisors and workers
- Maintain and complete comprehensive Project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) reports and documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years’ of relevant working experience in Building construction
- Advanced Certificate in WSH Safety Coordinators Training Course / BCSS
- Certification in Work at Heights (WAH) Supervisor course
- Occupational First Aid Course (OFA)
- Able to start work at short notice or immediately
