R&D Project Manager in Industry (M/F)
Recruitment conducted for an industrial SME based in Toulouse, which designs, manufactures, and markets its own 2D/3D integrated vision systems, sold in France and internationally. I will present the company, its activity, and its organization during our first exchange.
The position is open as a replacement.
The position: Reporting to the Projects Director, you will join a team of four people and will be responsible for the projects entrusted to you, from scoping to delivery. The management is transverse: you will lead the project team.
Your missions: Scoping and organizing:
- Translate client and user needs into project specifications
- Define the means, methods, resources, costs, deadlines, and expected quality level
- Establish the project development plan
Steering execution:
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, from launch to monitoring of implementation
- Identify, evaluate, and handle risks during the project
- Ensure regular reporting to management and the client, as well as a project end review
Meeting milestones and quality:
- Prepare and obtain phase-gate validations from hierarchy and the quality department
Managing suppliers
- Contribute to the choice of suppliers with the Purchasing Manager
- Define the expected deliverables from suppliers and partners, and control their compliance
Contributing to technical and financial choices:
- Challenge the chosen technical directions
- Participate in the financial structuring of R&D projects
Profile sought:
Indispensable
- Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5)
- 6 to 8 years of experience in electronic project management
- Good technical understanding of electronic products
- Mastery of project management methods in a multidisciplinary and international environment
- Fluent English, practiced with clients and suppliers
Appreciated:
- A background in an SME or an ESN
- Experience as an electronics manager or in managing a technical team
Expected soft skills: rigor, method, sense of analysis and results, and the ability to drive a project team forward.
Conditions:
- Permanent contract (CDI)
- Remuneration: Package 55 to 60 K€ depending on experience
