Job Description: About MATVIS

MATVIS secures AI Agents. We inspect traffic inline, on every model and every infrastructure, and stop Prompt Injection, PII-Leaks, data exfiltration, and Shadow AI before they reach anything relevant. Model-agnostic, ISO 27001 certified, and deployed within our customers' environments so that their data never leaves the premises.

Founded in 2023 in Tübingen. Enterprise customers are using us productively today, most of them with AI Act and NIS2 deadlines looming.

We are filling two identical, permanent positions.

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for central detection and analysis features end to end: data collection, training, evaluation, deployment, and everything that breaks afterwards.
• You work across the entire threat surface: Prompt Injection, Jailbreaks, PII detection and redaction, Content Filtering, data exfiltration, Agent Misuse.
• You build the parts of the detection stack that are not models: traffic analysis for Policy Autopilot, parameterization, and the business logic that turns a signal into a decision.
• You build and defend our benchmark harness. Detection Rate, False Positive Rate, and latency are product metrics here, and customers feel all three.
• You think security into the pipeline itself. We build our detection infrastructure in-house, from data provenance to our own training and evaluation tooling.
• You bring containerized services into Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• You debug across the entire stack, from model output through runtime and container to the network.

Must-have

• Full MLOps responsibility. You have brought a model from raw data into production and kept it running there.
• Very good Python and PyTorch.
• A security instinct: Pentesting, Red Teaming, CTF, Bug Bounty, or Adversarial ML. If you can attack systems and train models, we don't care about your degree.
• Discipline in benchmarking and evaluation.
• Clear written communication and a collaborative, adaptable way of working. Small team, lots of async.
• Docker and REST APIs.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-have

• Experience attacking LLM applications that were already running in production.
• Kubernetes, SQL.
• Fluent German, both spoken and written.
